Nepal’s poultry industry is worth over Rs 50 billion, the commercial poultry farming is done in 64 out of 75 districts. The growth rate of Nepal’s poultry production in the commercial sector is 17 up to 18 percent annually. Its contribution to overall GDP is 4 percent while it is encouraging and increasing. Moreover it has created a multiplier effect to other industries. Additionally it is emerging as a strong industry, directly employing and engaging 150, 000 people.
