Nutrex at ICPIH 2026:
Advancing poultry gut health and endotoxin research
Presented by Valentine Van Hamme, MVetMed, Sr. Innovation Manager Intestinal Health Solutions
Istanbul, Turkey – April 22–24, 2026
The 9th International Conference on Poultry Intestinal Health (ICPIH) in Istanbul brings together more than 1,200 poultry industry experts, researchers, and veterinarians for three days of intensive scientific exchange on gut health and antimicrobial stewardship, two of the most defining challenges facing global poultry production today.
Strong scientific contribution
Nutrex is proud to be part of the scientific programme, contributing two scientific posters and two oral presentations to this year’s program, delivered by Valentine Van Hamme, MVetMed Sr. Innovation Manager Intestinal Health Solutions.
Our research addresses the most critical hurdles in modern poultry production: mitigating inflammatory stress caused by endotoxins and optimizing gut resilience through synergistic bioactive concepts.

Visit the poster area to explore our latest in-depth research on endotoxin reduction and the long-term efficacy of phytogenic supplementation:
-
Poster ID-145
« Efficacy of an endotoxin reducer on inflammatory response and growth performance in LPS-challenged broilers. »
Focus solution: EndoBan®
-
Poster ID-146
« Enhanced broiler performance through phytogenic feed supplementation: A meta-analysis of seven consecutive trials. »
Focus solution: PhytoStar® Extra
💡Featured oral presentations: Friday, April 24
On the final day of the congress, our Senior Innovation Manager for Intestinal Health Solutions, Valentine Van Hamme, will present our latest findings.
11:00 | Session 6D (Room D)
« Positive effects of a synergistic phytoactive and postbiotic concept on intestinal health and performance of broilers under controlled challenge conditions. »
This study explores how the synergy in InteStim significantly improves FCR and final body weight while reducing intestinal and footpad lesions, and C. perfringens incidence.
11:45 | Session 6B (Room B)
« Counteracting endotoxin challenges in broiler production: in vitro and in vivo validation of an endotoxin-reducing feed additive. »
Focusing on EndoBan®, this session validates our approach to neutralizing endotoxins (LPS) to safeguard bird performance.
Why gut health research matters?
Gut health is no longer just a production parameter: it is a cornerstone of responsible, antibiotic-reduced poultry farming.
Monitoring the intestinal health status of poultry flocks is crucial for:
-
- Managing disorders
- Maintaining economic profitability
- Quick intervention & decision-making
- Antibiotic reduction
- Optimizing the use of feed & drinking water supplements
- Sustainable production
